Gender-Based Violence

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to strengthen case management through direct service provision for survivors of gender-based violence (GBV) and immediate lifesaving assistance to vulnerable populations through comprehensive case management and psycho-social support (PSS), including emergency care, referral to medical teams.

General Protection

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to support Protection Monitoring to identify Protection concerns/human rights violations of the vulnerable IDPs and conflict-affected people in the target locations through the protection monitoring system.

Child Protection

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to support girls and boys have adequate access to child protection services and are protected from violence, abuse, neglect and exploitation at home and in the community, and ensures that affected children are receiving appropriate support through the case management process.

Education

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to support communities access in a dignified way, while coordinating with government ministries and other stakeholders focusing on quality education. In its programmes, DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA will focus on children from most vulnerable, marginalized and minority have equally rights to a quality basic education with supports from Donors and education cluster.

Health and Nutrition

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to improve and promote sustainable nutrition and provision of primary health care services to the vulnerable communities by targeting child health and maternal health to save the life of expectant women / pregnant mothers and infant.

Food security and livelihood

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to improve the living condition of most vulnerable communities’ member through provision of the conditional and unconditional cash transfer which can empower the economic and skill development to minority and marginalize communities. Through tailored support for agricultural and livestock production DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA ais to achieve a sustainable and resilient livelihood opportunities in the affected communities.

Water Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) aims to improve access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene facilities to the minorities, internally displaced persons (IDPs) and vulnerable host communities in Somalia, through working with institutions like schools and health facilities in order to address the challenges of water, sanitation and hygiene in the respective communities and ultimately restoring dignity of the affected populations.

Camp Coordination and Camp management (CCCM)

DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA (DFS) ais improve and ensure internally displaced persons (IDPs) has equitable access services such as humanitarian assistance and protection to improve their quality of life and dignity. Additionally, DIGNITY FIRST SOMALIA aims to support the improvement of site maintenance and site monitoring capacities to improve the living conditions of the IDPs and minority communities and where applicable with of cash for work activities.
